The story of Lovely Runner centers on Im Sol, a once-talented filmmaker whose hopes were dashed when a terrible tragedy left her unable to walk. Despite her difficulties, she finds comfort in Ryu Seon-jae's music, a well-known idol whose tunes brighten her worst days. But when Seon-jae tragically dies, her entire world is upended, leaving her distraught.
